This compact two bedroomed but well equipped villa with its own (10m x 5m) solar heated pool offers privacy but is close to all of the amenities available in both Luz and Lagos, 2 minutes' drive from the N125 or the centre of Luz and 10 minutes from the vibrant nightlife that can be found in Lagos. This property nestles on the hillside behind the hustle and bustle of Luz amongst several luxury individual villas. Its south facing terrace has views over Luz and the sea. It is ideally situated for the beach, golf and other sports and outdoor activities that are available in the locality and of course the wonderful Algarve countryside and its neighbouring resorts and places of interest.

Living Accommodation

Over the past few years, the villa has undergone much renovation work including a new insulated roof, double glazing, underfloor heating, terrace extensions, perimeter wall, built in BBQ and a new swimming pool. The villa is accessed via a double glazed porch which leads directly into the spacious lounge/dining room. A separate modern well equipped kitchen is accessed from the lounge and an inner hallway leads to the two bedrooms and the shower and WC.

In the past 12 months the lounge and dining furniture and furnishings have been replaced and wifi has been installed.

All of the properties in this quiet location are individually designed and several are permanently occupied by their owners contributing to the friendliness and tranquillity of the surroundings.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

There are two bedrooms. The master bedroom has an en-suite modern bathroom with a shower over the bath. It has a new super king size bed and fitted wardrobes. It is large enough to accommodate a fold out bed or a cot for an extra child if required. The smaller twin bedroom has comfortable twin beds and a fitted wardrobe. The separate shower room is next door to this bedroom. Both bedrooms have remote controls ceiling fans for comfort on the occasional very warm nights. For the winter, there is also underfloor heating in both the bedrooms and bathrooms which also have heated towel rails.


The villa is surrounded by gardens and terracing. The villa is situated in a cul de sac and has ample parking outside the perimeter wall. Outside the kitchen is a tiled area with a built -in BBQ.There are two outside cupboards housing the washing machine and other cleaning equipment. Steps lead down the side of the villa to the pool, lawned area and fruit trees from this area. There is a large south facing terrace outside the lounge that wraps around and can also be accessed from the master bedroom. There is a large oval dining table with seating for 6 people and a cantilever sun umbrella for welcome shade in summer. Winding steps lead from the terrace down to the pool and gardens. There is ample room for 6 sunbeds round the pool.


All of the accommodation is currently on one level. However there are steps on either side of the villa that lead down to the pool area but once down there the pool area and garden are easily accessible and mostly on one level.


The pool is cleaned weekly and the gardens are also tended weekly by the same company. The household linen is changed weekly and the villa is cleaned immediately before your stay and on a weekly basis if staying longer than one week. Beach towels (one per person) are provided during your stay.The management company that looks after the villa is situated in Luz and their office is open 10am-1pm and 3-5pm.

House Rules

This is a no smoking property and no pets are allowed. It will comfortably accommodate 4 adults. There is also a travel cot available for an infant or a larger cot and/or high chair can be hired for a small weekly charge. A small fold out bed is available for a larger child but for an extra adult, this would only be suitable for a few nights' stay. The villa is available from 2pm on arrival day and must be vacated by 10am on departure day to allow it to be cleaned ready for the next guests.

The Area: Praia Da Luz, Western Algarve

Luz is a busy and popular holiday resort 10 minutes by car from the medieval walled town and port of Lagos. Luz is a family favourite with its expansive safe, sandy beach, an abundance of water sports and activities plus numerous restaurants and bars scattered throughout the village. It is an ideal base to explore the Algarve. Go west and you arrive at the most south westerly point of Europe (Cape St Vincent), north west is Vila do Bispo and the Atlantic west coast, north lies the forest, north east the mountain village of Monchique and the hot mineral baths of Caldas de Monchique, east takes tou to Lagos and then to Portimao, both offering excellent shopping and sightseeing, with plenty of night life and entertainment for those of a more energetic inclination. There are four top quality golf courses within 10 minutes' drive, a Zoo close by and the water parks "Slide and Splash" and "Aqualand" only 30 minutes away. Whatever the season, you will find plenty to do in the surrounding area. Close to Lagos airport you can now try wakeboarding and you can also take a water taxi to and from Alvor during the summer from Lagos marina.

Changeovers are flexible out of peak season. But once a booking is taken for peak season, then we would prefer that bookings fall within one day of each other please. On the day of arrival, the villa is accessible from 2pm and must vacate the property by 10am on the day of departure to allow preparation of the villa for the next clients who may be arriving later that day. If there is no one booked in immediately before you arrive or after your stay, it may be possible to be flexible on times.
