If you are looking for something small and practical as a base in this lovely area, for a great price, this may be what you need. This annexe consists of a double bedroom, shower room and kitchen/living area with a sofa bed. It is set around 50m away from the main house where the owners live, and has private access. It has a large tropical garden with lots of places to relax, and is surrounded by countryside although it is situated by a road so that you are not isolated. It is within a mile of the town centre, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants, and only 25 minutes drive from Faro airport. Beaches, golf courses, the mountains and towns such as loule and Tavira are within an easy drive, and it really demonstrates the term 'rustic'. Portuguese Tourist Board licence number 29887/AL

The modern annexe is set a little way away from the traditional farmhouse and consists of a double bedroom, (with rustic pine kingsize bed, tallboy, drawers), shower room, and kitchen/living room. There is also a sofa bed for additional guests so it can suit from 1 to 4 people as an ideal self contained inexpensive base for exploring the local area, or golfing or finding beautiful beaches.it is only a short drive over to Spain as well.
The accommodation is equipped with fridge, table top cooker, outside table and chairs and has private access with space for parking right outside.
The owners live on site and so you are ensured of a warm welcome, especially for solo travellers who like a bit of support.
The annexe will be undergoing a complete refurbishment from August 2019 onwards with new furniture a new wood burning stove (for the winter) and all lamps and soft furnishings
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Fully furnished double bedroom, shower room, and additional sofa bed if required in the living area. Refurbishment to be completed Autumn 2019.
The property is on a privately gated plot, along a gravel road that is adjacent to a main road. It backs on to a ruin (which gives it more character and lots of privacy), with only 1 further villa a short distance up the hill.
The tropical garden is over 1/2 acre, full of gravelled sections with many tropical plants and trees that include orange, almond, grapefruit, pomegranate, fig and almond. There are lots of areas to sit, and a traditional BBQ.
The 6m pool currently on site is rustic but lovely. Refurbishment due from October 2019 onwards. and there are plans to have a jacuzzi put in.
A 20-25 minute drive north from Faro airport, and a taxi would cost around 25Euros. There are local taxis, buses, a bus station in Sao Bras, and the town is within walking distance (around a mile or so).
Local supermarkets are about 1 mile away, as are cafes and restaurants. The property is rural, but next to a road so that you do not feel isolated. Access to the property is via a meet and greet company, with a key safe for late bookings.
Water and electric are included. All bedding, towels and pool towels are provided.
In addition there is a washing machine, use of a BBQ, sun terrace (over the house). A selection of books and games are also available.
Wi fi is available by the house, but we cannot guarantee the use of this or a TV at this stage (summer 2019) but are looking to establish this in the future. Of course access will be given to the house WI Fi if required.
No smoking property. Due to the uneven nature of the grounds we prefer no toddlers (under 5 years) or anyone that has difficulty walking.
The property has a soakaway drain so no tissue ar anything else should be put down the toilets. Please use the bins provided, as any blockages would spoil your holiday and would need to be paid for.
The British owner is a well established belly dance and Pilates teacher, so packages to include these 2 forms of exercise can be included in your stay.
The Area: Sao Bras De Alportel, Eastern Algarve
You are close to the mountains and many small villages where English is rarely spoken. Sao Bras itself has an historic centre, as well as a quiet centre (this is not a highly touristic area).
The nearest town is Loule, with Tavira and Moncarpacho a short drive away. Beaches, golf courses can also be reached within 20 minutes.
If you feel adventurous, the Spanish border is only about 25 miles away.

There are no restrictions on day of arrival or checkout and this means you can get the best flight prices. We do not do back to back bookings, so later check out is not a problem if required.
Bookings require a no refundable £100 deposit, with the full payment due within 4 weeks of the arrival date.
We offer value for money and will not penalise single travellers. please do not be fooled by the reasonable rates. We feel many rentals are overpriced, and we do not rent out to make huge profits, as we just want to share this beautiful property with like minded people.
The length of stay can be just a minimum of 3 nights, and we will happily offer discounts on a longer stay of 1 week plus(although our licence limits us to a maximum of 28 days). Try to book well in advance, as we use the annexe frequently for friends and family visiting.
Off peak season from October until March (inclusive) is £50 per person per night for a minimum of 3 mights. 2 persons £70 per night, 3 £90, 4 £95. From April until Sepember, it is £60pn (1), £80 (2), £95 (3) and £100 (4 persons). Weekly rate off peak 1 person £250, peak £350. 2+ guests £375off peak, £475 peak
