Casa da Oliveira in its totally private walled & gated garden is perfect for year round holidays for families, golfers, beach lovers, walkers or for simply chilling out by the heated & fenced pool (ordered and paid for in advance). Enjoy balmy Algarve evenings with dishes from the BBQ or from the extremely well equipped kitchen.
Although only 12kms from the airport the flightpath is well away, the main road is 1km, & the lane from Sao Lourenco village ends through our gates, so no passing noise!
As our second home it has everything needed for comfortable living. WiFi, broadband, 100s of TV channels, films, box sets, music centre, large library, even fire logs are all free as are the aircon & heating throughout.

From the cobbled driveway enter the large hall off which are the lounge/diner, cloakroom, kitchen & double bedroom with ensuite.
The living room has 2 sofas, 2 easy chairs & a padded stool. There is a coffee table & several small side tables. The lovely fire is supplied with with logs for winter warmth.
Free entertainment is plentiful! In the bureau are many different games for all ages & a large library. The newly installed router supplies free WiFi & broadband. The new TV box has 100s of channels in many different languages, all sport channels including Sky, 100s of films & popular box sets + 7 day catch-up.
The dining area has a large table surrounded with chairs & a large dresser containing glasses, dishes & table mats. Double windows lead out to the shaded dining terrace.
Set in the the kitchen's granite worktops are a 4 ring hob with extractor over & the double sink. Units house the large fridge/freezer, fan oven, dishwasher & microwave. There are a 4 slice toaster, kettle & coffee maker. There's masses of cutlery, crockery, mugs, tumblers, etc make for easy living. Immediately outside the kitchen is a small laundry room with washing machine, spin drier, mops, buckets, iron & board.
We have a cot with bedding, highchair, pushchair, child's booster seat & full car seat.
Up the wide staircase off the landing is the Master Bedroom, Bedroom 3, bunk bedroom 4 & the family bathroom.
Free aircon & wall mounted heaters are in the living/dining room & all the bedrooms.

Master Bedroom 1 - an inner hall off the landing leads to the Master bedroom with super king-sized double bed, the large ensuite, a dressing room with built in cupboards & dressing table & also a private balcony overlooking the garden & pool.
Bedroom 3 - has 2 large 105 cm wide single beds.
Bedroom 4 - the bunk room has 1 full sized single bed, the 2 bunk beds & a small private balcony.
Bedroom 2 - downstairs off the entrance hall from an inner hall is bedroom 2 with super king-sized double bed & ensuite.
There is heating & air conditioning in all the bedrooms.
3 Bathrooms & a cloakroom,
Bathroom 1 - Master bedroom large ensuite with large tiled shower enclosure, basin, toilet & heated towel rail.
Bathroom 3 - Family bathroom off landing with bath with shower over, basin, bidet, & toilet.
Bathroom 2 - Bedroom 2 ensuite with bath, separate shower enclosure, basin & toilet
Cloakroom - With basin, Toilet, & the wall mounted safe.
The 3 bathrooms all have wall mounted heaters.
The ensuite bathrooms for both the Master bedroom & bedroom 2 are off small internal halls. This means that if there is a large party these facilities can be accessed by any of the villa guests without the need to enter the bedrooms. For larger parties this makes living at Casa da Oliveira easy! Bathroom 2 & the cloakroom are downstairs off the main hall while bathrooms 1 & 3 are on the first floor.
The drive has lots of parking. Outside games, pool toys, spare loungers & logs for winter are in the garage.
On the other side of the villa the large garden & pool are not overlooked at all. The 12m pool has Roman steps at one end which on request can be heated (27/28C) or fenced to enhance safety for toddlers. The pool shower is nearby.
There is a large lawn for children to play on & a built in BBQ for adults to cook on! Plenty of loungers are available for any sized party. When the sun gets too much there is lots of shade under the bougainvillea-clad terraces.
Outside the kitchen is a large dining table with plenty chairs over which is a retractable shade. A 2nd dining table is outside the dining area under the bougainvillea terrace.
We do not advertise as suitable for disabled or for reduced mobility, however because the downstairs double bedroom & ensuite, kitchen & living room are all on one level we have had guests in a wheelchair or who had reduced mobility on several occasions without problem. Access to all of the flat garden can be made via the front door, the kitchen door or the patio doors in the dining area.
It is best to discus with us before a booking is made.
A full changeover clean is carried out between parties. In high season there is also a mid week shorter clean. Extra cleaning can be arranged.
The gardener attends once per week & the pool maintenance man twice pw in summer & once pw at other times.
The villa is managed by the owner of a small local agency. She is a lovely lady who will deal promptly with any queries or problems that arise.
Accommodation is up to 9 (max 7 adults).
Entry is after 16.00 & departure by 10.30 to allow time for a full changeover.

Strictly no pets & no smoking within the villa. Fee for failure to comply £100.
Cleaning of the BBQ & fire are guests responsibility. Left for the maids £20.
All rubbish removed to council bins. Cost if maids have to do it £20.
Leave furniture, games, etc where found & villa in a reasonably tidy state.
The Area: Sao Lourenco Village, Central Algarve
Sao Lourenco has a famous historic much visited tiled church, a coffee shop & 2 bar/restaurants. Almancil, 2/3kms away, is a lively true Portuguese town with absolutely everything! There are restaurants of all types & budgets. Our favourite is ‘Café Nosso’ with fresh seabass & chips for 11.00 euros! There are large supermarkets & good corner shops, bakeries with bread & pastries to die for, many small shops & boutiques, banks & 2 petrol stations. Parking is free & taxis not too expensive.
10/15 mins away are several differing beaches from the 6km long sand dune backed Quinto do Lago to the red cliffs of Vale do Lobo & Praia de Loule. Nearby is the Algarve’s best water park with huge slides, walls of death & an enormous pool with wave machine & artificial beach. There is also horse riding, sea water sports, tennis & 12 golf courses!
Close by is the old town of Loule with it’s cobbled streets & famous covered market that on Saturdays spills out all over the surrounding streets where local farmers bring their produce to market. Beside are cafes for a coffee or beer & to watch the world go by! Loule also has a gypsy market on Saturdays where bargains are to be had. Remember to to barter!
15 mins away is Faro's large & well renovated old walled city with museums & galleries in ancient buildings. There are plenty of shops in Jumbo shopping or in numerous smaller shops, boutiques & restaurants. Take a ferry to the deserted sandy islands in the world famous nature reserve called the ‘Ria Formosa’ which stretches 40kms from Quinto do Lago to ancient Tavira to the east.
From Tavira reach the massive Guidiana river which is the Spanish border. There are 2 massive castles & lovely boat trips up the river to Alcouten. Seville Spain is an hour on.
West is Silves, the Monchique mountains & beautiful springs & buildings at Caldas dea Monchique. Europe ends at the windswept Sagres cliffs where fishermen cast their lines from the clifftops to the Atlantic below!

Prices quoted are in £££s sterling per week (except for 4 day offer). Payment in euros, or by credit card through Paypal (+ 3.5%) is possible by arrangement.
Prices include all electricity within the villa for heating, aircon, hot water, lighting, etc., linen & towels (excl beach towels), maid service, & a grocery and beverage starter pack. Also free of charge if required we have a cot with bedding, 2 x highchairs, a pushchair, car booster seat & a full child's car seat.
Pool heating is available on request at £150.00 per week April to October & £175.00 per week November to March to cover the very high cost of the electricity required to heat the water to 27/28C at any time of year with our newly installed powerful heat exchanger. Also on request a pool fence can be erected to enhance the safety of toddlers at a one off cost of £30.00 to recompense the gardener who installs & dismantles it.
Rates are for up to 8 guests (max 7 adults). For an extra guest up to a maximum of 9 add £100 per week or part thereof.
