Overview

The property is set in acres of private and mature gardens with many fig, almond, olive, orange and lemon trees plus a small vineyard. Great views to the Atlantic and over Lagos itself giving an almost 180o vista.
The accommodation consists of the main villa built on one level, an attached two bedroom apartment, and a separate three bedroom pool annexe. This affords excellent flexible living space for up to 16 guests offering our guests excellent scope for flexibility in their holiday requirements should teenagers, grandparents, nannies or other staff need separate sleeping arrangements.
A new kitchen has been fitted which includes a dining and separate breakfast bar areas , new gas/electric cooker/oven,microwave,dishwashers .Laundry.

Living Accommodation

Main Villa:

The lounge and dining room have French doors opening up onto shaded dining terraces with views over the swimming pool area to the ocean beyond and toward Lagos Town. There is Smart TV with freeview offering some UK channels, dvd player and WiFi in the lounge area. A new kitchen has recently been fitted with a laundry room and access to an enclosed patio area .
There are three twin bedrooms, all with en-suite bathroom, and with sea views and terrace access, There is also a large bedroom with four single beds and a bathroom, ideal for children and teenagers.

Self-contained apartment:
This is part of the main building, formerly staff quarters and refurbished with internal and external access. It has a lounge with TV and DVD, and a small but well-equipped kitchenette with access to the kitchen patio, and two double bedrooms served by a separate bathroom.

Pool Annexe:

This accommodation is a separately accessed cottage near the pool, approximately 5 meters from the main house.
There are two twin bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms at pool side level, and one double bedroom with en-suite shower and toilet at lower level

There are 9 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms in all, suitable for a maximum of 16 guests.

Outside

The villa is surrounded by magnificent landscaped gardens and has terracing on a number of levels. The pool terrace has superb views and is excellent for sunbathing. The upper terrace is great for dining and there is a shaded barbeque area. Additionally there is a poolside bar with fridge, a kitchenette and shower with wc. A small pool table, dartboard and a table tennis table.

The pool may be heated on request, and the Tennis court can be floodlit. Please enquire for costs.
Please bring your own sports equipment.

Accessibility

The main Villa and attached apartment are all on one level apart from the entrance steps . The pool annexe is at
a lower level terrace from the Villa .

Quinta Almara is located next door to the Quinta Das Olivieras in Calicas, a region east of Lagos, part of the western Algarve, Portugal.

The views to the Atlantic and over Lagos itself are breathtaking, giving an almost 180 degree vista.

Although this property has the benefit of feeling as though in a rural setting, the beautiful long, sandy beach of Meia Praia and the bustle of Lagos Marina are an approximate 15 minute walk, or less than a 5 minute drive away.

The Marina is lively during the day with a choice of lovely cafes, bars & restaurants where you can either just have a quick coffee & cake or choose to eat any meal from breakfast to dinner. There are plenty of options and something for everyone.

From here, you can enjoy outdoor activities like sailing, boat trips to explore the coast, visit the unique caves in cruising boats or even kayaking and experience the sea life eg: dolphins at sea.

For those wanting to play golf, there are several championship golf courses nearby including Boavista Golf Club and Spa, Espiche and Palmares Onyra Golf Club. It is possible to hire a quality set of clubs at Faro airport from ClubstoHire.com. For the more adventurous there are many water sports widely available including water skiing, surfing and wake boarding or you could go trekking, horse riding or micro-light flying.

Quinta Almara rental prices: £2520 - £5640

Begins Ends Weekly Weekend Per Night Minimum Stay

Pool heating can be requested at additional cost. Heating, or pre-heating if required is charged at £30 per day
The private tennis court can be floodlit, on request, at additional metered charge. Tennis playing equipment is not provided.

A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required to secure the booking, the balance payment due 6 weeks prior to arrival
payable to the local property managers Lloyd Lda who will send a booking form with payment details .

Rates quoted for the main Villa only which sleeps up to ten persons in four bedrooms. Bedroom 4 has an additional two single beds in a separate section .
There is an additional weekly charge applied for use of the attached 2 bedroom apartment of up to £240pw or the Pool Annexe up to £660. Please enquire about any the other weekly prices.

Bookings are by the week with a Thursday or a Saturday changeover

Check in after 3pm on day of arrival, and check out by 10am on day of departure.
