A large modern 1 bedroom apartment in one of the most popular areas of Lagos, the Marina. With a fully equipped kitchen, Sky TV and plenty of DVDs, books and CDs, you can either stay in or explore the many restaurants or bars that are on the Marina or in the lovely town. With views over the palm garden and across the Marina to the walled moorish town of Lagos, using this apartment as a base means you are in close walking distance to all amenities. There is no need for a car as you are two minutes from the train station and bus/coach station. The 3km white sands of Meia Praia beach are a short stroll away. On the Marina you can find all types of excursions from dolphin excursions and bbq boat trips to luxury yacht hire and deep sea fishing.

Living Accommodation

The Apartment is located on the 2nd floor of this award winning Marina complex. Accessible from the road level or direct from the security gated underground car park by elevator, the apartment benefits from video entry phone and 24 hour security patrols around the complex.

With a partial open plan feel and wood floors throughout that apartment is light and airy. The large lounge looks across the balcony onto the Marina's palm garden, a quiet and tranquil area which attracts many birds.

In the lounge there is comfortable sofa seating for 6. One of the sofas opens up into a comfortable metal action sofa bed for an occasional plus 2 guests. For those wanting to stay in, there is a large dining table or you can eat on the balcony. There is a flat screen TV with Sky TV showing Sky channels inc movies, kids and sports channels. Stereo system which a large selection of CDs, a number of books and games are also available to guests. The full size patio doors open onto the large balcony and you can sit in the lounge and look through the palm trees to the town beyond.

Both the lounge and bedroom have air conditioning for those hot hot days, whilst portable radiator heaters can be used on the slightly cooler evenings in early Spring or late Autumn.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

The large double bedroom can be set up as a super-king double bed or two single beds. There is a large wardrobe with drawers. A travel cot can also be set up. With wall-mounted air conditioning you can be guaranteed a comfortable night's sleep.

The apartment benefits from a separate kitchen with full appliances including: dishwasher, washing machine, rotisserie cooker, full size fridge and freezer, microwave and with all crockery and kitchen utensils you could need to cater in.

The Bathroom has a shower over the full size bath with a large marble vanity unit, WC and Bidet.

Outside

Accessible from the Lounge via the patio doors, the large balcony is not overlooked from the apartments either side. Facing South/South West the sun hits from mid morning and stays on the balcony until it sets; this makes the balcony a lovely sun trap or just a great place for a relaxed breakfast or even a romantic dinner venue. Set up with table, chairs and two sun loungers it even has a separate area for a clothes airer. The balcony allows you to look through the palm trees to the town beyond or down onto the pool in the hotel complex next door.

The apartment does not have its own pool, but guests can pay an entry fee for the hotel pool, viewable from the apartment balcony or can pay a small charge to use one of the beach clubs pools.

Accessibility

The apartment is on the 2nd floor and can be reached from the lower ground level car park by lift or stairs. There are are some stairs up from the pavement level to the front lobby door. Guests are allocated with a key fob to access to the car park via the security doors as well as being given the electronic security code for the lobby door.

The wood flooring throughout the apartment and wide open plan layout makes the apartment very accessible. The shower over the bath should be noted.

Services

Guests are met on arrival by the Property Managers and will be available to contact during your stay for any queries. The apartment will be cleaned and beds set up as required. Guests will be left with toilet roll, pantry basics and a welcome food pack (water, milk, tea, coffee, rolls, ham/cheese) so you can just relax on arrival.

Restrictions

This is a NO SMOKING apartment. Guests are asked to not smoke in the apartment. If smoking on the balcony cigarette ends should not be thrown off the balcony and should be disposed of safely and considerately.

Towels are left for guests in the bathroom and should not leave the apartment. Guests are asked to supply their own beachtowels.

The Area: Marina De Lagos, Western Algarve

Situated in the Western Algarve, within an hour of Faro Airport, the Marina de Lagos is on the edge of the original moorish Algarve capital of Lagos. Surrounded by high town walls, the town has a variety of lovely churches, museums, shops, cafes and restaurants so there is something of interest for all ages. Lagos is surrounded by many world famous beaches and has a number of golf courses within easy distance.

The Marina itself is a modern, award winning, complex with a wide variety of international restaurants, a hotel and spa and shops. From the Marina here you can arrange a number of excursions, including dolphin watching, BBQ cruises, Grotto Tours, Luxury Yacht Hire, Surfing, kayaking and paddle boarding, as well as wider excursions to take in the countryside and culture of Portugal.

Lagos has an abundance of lovely beaches and grottos, the closest of which to the apartment is the 3km white stretch of beach called Meia Praia, only 600m away. The apartment is within minutes of several professional golf courses and is an ideal base for golfers wishing to play in the Algarve. A 10 minutes drive from the apartment takes you to the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, the exciting racing circuit that hosts F1 testing, World Superbikes, track experience days and go karting.

The apartment is under an hour by car from Faro airport, 2 minutes walk from the train station and only 5 minutes from the bus station. This is an ideal base to explore the many places of interest along the Algarve and it is only 2 hours from Spain.

The prices quoted are for the first week, discounts are offered on additional days and weeks. We do not have set changeover days, but arrivals will not be able to enter the apartment before 2pm on the day of arrival and departure should be by 10am on the day of departure. However, these are subject to discussion based on other guests' arrivals and departures.
