Set in an enviable position, this well equipped villa with private heated pool offers comfortable and contemporary accommodation, within a pretty patio garden planted with mature palms and lemon tree. Casa das Redes is one of four unique and individual residential properties situated within 'Quinta das Redes', the former site of the historic beachfront tuna cannery. The original high walls provide security and privacy for the villas within, unusual in a location so close to the beach. All village facilities are very close by, and there is a parking space for one car at the villa. However, most of our guests find a car is not necessary for a holiday in this location. There is level access to and from the villa and one accessible bedroom with wetroom on the ground floor.

The living area is open plan. The sitting room has three large sofas providing comfortable seating around a fireplace with woodburner. There is wifi, internet TV with all UK channels, catch up facility, and freeview.

The fitted kitchen has granite worktops and is well equipped. There is a 5 burner gas hob, wide electric oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, and all expected small appliances.

The dining area seats 8 (plus highchair), and glazed sliding doors open onto the outside dining table and BBQ area overlooking the pool. There is a washing machine, iron, and ironing board, in the upstairs laundry cupboard.

Upstairs:

Bedroom 1: Queen size bed, (160cm wide) plus single bed, fitted wardrobes, and West facing glazed doors to a balcony overlooking the pool terrace. Ensuite bathroom, with bath and overhead shower, basin, bidet, and WC. This room has an air conditioning unit.
Bedroom 2: Twin beds, East facing window, and fitted wardrobes. Ensuite shower room, with spacious shower, basin and wc.
Bedroom 3: Queen size bed, West facing window overlooking the pool, and fitted wardrobes. Ensuite shower room, with spacious shower, basin, and wc.

Downstairs:

Bedroom 4: Queen size bed, fitted wardrobe and window to the pool terrace. Ensuite wetroom has shower area with built in bench seat, basin and wc, and is designed to be wheelchair accessible.

There is a separate downstairs washroom with basin and wc.

Room fans supplied for all bedrooms.

The patio garden is planted in mediterranean style, with mature palms and a lemon tree. There are sunbeds, and a shaded soft seating area with comfortable sofa and chairs overlooking the 8.00m x 4.00m pool. The pool is heated, and has a cover. Outside dining and BBQ, pool lights, and garden lights for evening entertainment.

Off street parking for one car, in covered car port, with additional space outside the gates in the resident only parking zone.

There is level access from the villa to the roadside and down to the beachfront. Ground floor access to the BBQ and outside dining area. To the pool terrace there is a short shallow ramp for wheelchair access. The downstairs bedroom with ensuite wetroom has a built in shower bench and is wheelchair accessible. Praia da Luz beach is classified as accessible, with appropriate boardwalks and facilities.

The pool is tended weekly on Saturday.
Cleaning service and household linen change is weekly, Plus a mid week household towel change.
Pool towels are provided. Please bring your own leisure towels for the beach.
The villa is managed by the owner who lives locally.

Capacity in Casa das Redes is up to 8 people. Bedroom 1 is usually made up as a double but if required as a twin, the single divan will be made up on request. There is a cot and high chair provided for a baby.
The villa has a no smoking policy, and a no pets policy.
Entry is from 15.00 hours on arrival day, and exit is by 10.00 on departure day.

The villa is centrally placed and within walking distance to all village amenities which include post office, bank, cash ATM, several supermarkets, pharmacy, English-speaking doctors surgery, and dentist. Zoomarine dolphin park and Slide and Splash water park provide coach transport from Luz. Anglican church services are held on Sunday in the local church. Tennis is available, and there is a local Padel club. There are water-sport centres on the beach providing everything from banana boat rides, to sailing lessons, to fishing excursions. From Lagos you can try parasailing, deep-sea fishing, dolphin safari, or visit the grottos by fishing boat. There are several surf centers offering day trips to wherever the waves are best on the day, wetsuits, equipment and instruction as required. Luz can offer truly international cuisine in a wide choice of cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes and occasions. Most are family friendly and some offer a takeaway service. For a change of scene we recommend an evening out in the historic town of Lagos. The 8 minute taxi ride is inexpensive. There are several golf courses within easy reach, the nearest is Boavista golf at only 5 minutes drive.

Praia da Luz is arguably one of the prettiest beaches in the Western Algarve, sporting the european blue flag, and classified as accessible with ramps and walkways and facilities for the disabled. East are picturesque rocky coves and the long sandy crescent of Meia Praia at Lagos, within 10 minutes drive. 15 minutes West are the resort beaches of Burgau and Salema, and further again are a multitude of beaches frequented by surfers, Spectacular and less busy but not so safe for small children.

Faro is the nearest airport, only 1 hour drive away. Praia da Luz beach 70m. Historic town of Lagos 8 mins by car. Cape St Vincent 30 mins by car.
